Auction Antique Doll Upcoming August Sale
Alderfer Auction & Appraisal Company of Hatfield, PA is featuring The Estate of Joseph and Edna Darby, of Vineland, New Jersey at their summer catalog doll auction. Mrs. Darby belonged to the South Jersey Doll Club for over twenty-five years. She began collecting in the early 1960’s, attending many doll and estate auctions up and down the eastern seaboard until 2000. Although she also loved gardening, the dolls were her greatest love and she was very proud of her collection. She amassed a collection of over 700 dolls. Mrs. Darby passed away on February 24, 2008. Because of the size of the collection, Alderfers is Selling Part I on August 20 and 21, 2008 and Part II on November 19 and 20, 2008.
